Volunteer with SAFE Today!

At SAFE (Southeast Advocates for Family Empowerment), volunteers play a vital role in helping us build safer, stronger communities. Whether you're passionate about organizing donations, assisting with events, or supporting survivors more directly—there’s a place for you on our team.

Why Volunteer With SAFE?

  • Earn community service hours for your social organizations, school, or work

  • Gain valuable training and experience in nonprofit and advocacy work

  • Be part of something meaningful and see the real impact of your time and compassion

Volunteer Opportunities

We offer a variety of roles to suit your time, interests, and skills:

  • Donation Sorting – Help organize and distribute supplies for survivors

  • Office Support – Assist our team with admin tasks and behind-the-scenes support

  • Event Help – Support our outreach and fundraising events

  • Advocacy – Work directly with survivors to provide support and resources (see training requirement below)

Who Can Volunteer?

  • Ages 15 and up are welcome to apply

  • Volunteers who wish to work directly with survivors must complete a 40-hour certification training

Important Note:
Anyone interested in advocacy roles or direct survivor support is required to complete a 40-hour training program. This training is hosted at SAFE through our coalition and is essential for trauma-informed, survivor-centered care.
