Volunteer with SAFE Today!
At SAFE (Southeast Advocates for Family Empowerment), volunteers play a vital role in helping us build safer, stronger communities. Whether you're passionate about organizing donations, assisting with events, or supporting survivors more directly—there’s a place for you on our team.
Why Volunteer With SAFE?
Earn community service hours for your social organizations, school, or work
Gain valuable training and experience in nonprofit and advocacy work
Be part of something meaningful and see the real impact of your time and compassion
Volunteer Opportunities
We offer a variety of roles to suit your time, interests, and skills:
Donation Sorting – Help organize and distribute supplies for survivors
Office Support – Assist our team with admin tasks and behind-the-scenes support
Event Help – Support our outreach and fundraising events
Advocacy – Work directly with survivors to provide support and resources (see training requirement below)
Who Can Volunteer?
Ages 15 and up are welcome to apply
Volunteers who wish to work directly with survivors must complete a 40-hour certification training
Important Note:
Anyone interested in advocacy roles or direct survivor support is required to complete a 40-hour training program. This training is hosted at SAFE through our coalition and is essential for trauma-informed, survivor-centered care.
