Help Is One Call Away 💜 985-542-8384 💜
SAFE provides confidential shelter, counseling, and crisis support to survivors of domestic violence across Southeast Louisiana; no cost, judgment-free, and available 24/7.
Free & Confidential · 24/7 Crisis Hotline: 985-542-8384 · You Deserve Peace of Mind
Being controlled, isolated, or monitored
Are You Experiencing This?
Living in fear of a partner’s anger
Being hurt physically, emotionally, or financially
If any of this sounds familiar, you are not alone. SAFE is here to help you figure this out.
Why SAFE Exists
SAFE was built on a simple but urgent belief: every person in Southeast Louisiana deserves to feel safe in their own home. We serve Tangipahoa, Livingston, and St. Helena Parishes, communities where resources are spread thin, and silence is often the only option survivors feel they have. We exist to change that.
Purple Ribbon Initiative
Every Ribbon Tells a Story of Hope, Healing, and Empowerment
SAFE’s Purple Ribbon Initiative honors survivors of domestic violence, remembers those we have lost, and celebrates the community members who stand beside them. Every ribbon represents a story — a survivor reclaiming their life, a family finding safety, or a community coming together to say: You are not alone.
Why Your Support Matters
Domestic violence affects women, men, and children in ways that are not always visible. Your contribution to the Purple Ribbon Initiative helps SAFE provide:
Emergency shelter and safe housing
Legal advocacy and court accompaniment
Financial support and life skills training
Education programs for individuals and the community
Emotional support through one-on-one and group sessions
With your gift, you are not only honoring survivors — you are helping them rebuild their lives safely and with dignity.
How You Can Participate
Individuals:
$75 or more: Receive a purple yard sign to proudly display and have your ribbon added to SAFE’s growing mural of hope.
Under $75: Your name will be written on a purple ribbon and displayed on the mural and shared on SAFE’s social media channels.

Love Shouldn’t Hurt. Join the Conversation
💜 What We’re Building
Every woman wants the girls in her life to grow up radiant—confident, valued, and deeply loved.
And rooted—grounded in self-worth, clear boundaries, and healthy relationships.
Whether you’re a mother, sister, aunt, mentor, or friend…
you play a role in shaping how the next generation understands love, respect, and connection.
But how do we teach these things?
How do we start conversations that feel difficult… yet are so necessary?
This July, SAFE is creating a space where those conversations can begin—together.
Radiant & Rooted is more than an event.
It’s an investment in prevention.
It’s a community gathering that says: the women and girls in our lives deserve healthy, safe, and supportive relationships—and we are willing to show up for them.
🌸 What is Radiant & Rooted?
On Saturday, July 25, from 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM, SAFE will host an elegant summer tea experience designed for women and girls (ages 13+)—including mothers and daughters, sisters, aunts, mentors, and friends.
This is a space where every female-to-female relationship is welcomed and valued—because these conversations don’t just happen between mothers and daughters. They happen between the women who show up for each other in everyday life.
Over tea tastings, a light brunch, and intentional moments of connection, guests will:
✨ Learn to recognize healthy vs. unhealthy relationships
Teen dating violence affects 1 in 3 young people. Together, we’ll explore how to recognize early warning signs and build a strong foundation of respect and safety.
✨ Hear from powerful, insightful speakers
Voices rooted in experience and understanding will share perspectives on connection, communication, and the importance of early awareness.
✨ Start conversations that matter
Through guided table discussions, guests will explore values like respect, worth, courage, boundaries, voice, trust, and confidence—creating space for honest, meaningful dialogue.
✨ Build lasting connections
You’ll connect with other women and girls navigating similar experiences, creating a sense of community and support that extends beyond the event.
This is not a lecture.
It’s not overwhelming or heavy.
It’s soft, intentional, and empowering—
designed to create connection, build trust, and plant seeds that grow into safer, stronger futures.
Because when women come together,
support one another,
and have the conversations that matter…
✨ everything begins to change.
